Novak Djokovic had to play a few tournaments on clay this year to finally peak at the last one in Rome and the defending French Open champion will be ready to vie for another one at this year's French Open.

Carlos Alcaraz is shooting up the ATP rankings and defeated Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal en route to winning the Madrid Masters title. He seems to be ready to have a legit shot at winning the French Open this year.

Rafael Nadal has mentioned openly about the discomfort he has been feeling from his injuries and though he is still a strong contender to win the French Open he isn't the clear favorite like in years past.

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a stellar clay court season last year and did well on clay this year as well winning the Monte Carlo title and getting to the final in Rome. He was the runner up at the French Open last year and will be hoping to do better than that this year.

Alexander Zverev had a decent clay court season this year and will have to play his best tennis on clay yet this year to give him a chance of winning the French Open.
